Timing

The weather map in front of me looks ominous. A swirling mass of wind and rain sits, what looks to be, millimeters away from Florida, swirling out homes and cars and lives on small islands; but, if all goes as the weatherman says, the effects on our state will be minimal.  At the same time the news shows praying families, candles held high, mourning the loss of young loved ones who happened to go to school on Thursday. The politics of the day appears as if real TV has taken over the campaign trail and dramatic words and well timed quotes riddled with absurdity are not only accepted but championed as the norm.

But the voice in my soul says, "fear not." It's life, and it's miraculous, and the sun rising and setting at its specific times is enough to remind us, as is the blue jay in the crepe myrtle out front and the cardinal showing up this week for the first time in months. Time, it's an illusion, created by man.
Timing, that's something different.
