I'm reading The Intention Experiment by Lynne McTaggart. It's heavy to read because it reads more like a science journal than a self help book. She writes of an experiment with plants, and to sum it up, she explains an experiment where plants that were together in a room are separated into two different rooms. They are monitored with a system developed that is similar to a lie detector. It monitors their reactions. When one of the plants is threatened, for example, with fire, it creates in that plant a reaction indicating in the plant world, alarm. I guess it is their fight or flight mechanism. This is the amazing aspect of the experiment, when the plant in one room is threatened, the plant in the other room, that was previously housed with that plant, emits the same reaction as the plant that is distressed. Not only does it emit similar patterns, but just a trifle ahead of time. Wow! This world is filled with, oh, so much wonder that we do not yet recognize, and the few that do are often ridiculed. What's that all about?
Thank you, God, for a day full of wonder, and let me be kinder to even my plants. Oh yeah, and forgive me for ripping that hibiscus out of the back yard before its prime. Geeze, this makes the whole caring for the world thing a bit more burdensome until the paradigm shift occurs. That's when the real miracles begin to happen.
Love,
Linda
